Kiai Ribut Nur Huda, MA. in his speech reminded the obligation to be grateful for the blessings and grace of good health that God has given us. “All of us here must not forget the blessings and grace of good health, because if we’re not in good health we might not be able to attend the study at the Indonesian Embassy,” he said.
He further appeal the attendees of Al-Hijrah to recite the following as intent:
“بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم نويت الشكر لله تعالى على ولادة هذا النبي الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم في الشهر الشريف”
“Why is Prophet Muhammad PBUH’s birthday commemorated while the Islamic scholars’ commemorations were celebrated upon their death? Because the Prophet Muhammad was known of his grandeur and glory in islam from his birth and the scholars were known of theirs from their death, for example, Sayyidina Umar bin Khattab was a thug but after embracing Islam he became pious and a“mufti”(decision and law maker) for Moslems,” as he explained why Prophet Muhammad SAW birthday was celebrated.
“Prophet Muhammad SAW was born and passed away on the same day which is Monday 12 Robi’ul Awal. So the Prophet was asked by his shahabah (companion) why he fasted on Monday. He answered because Monday was the day I was born. From this story for the intelligent and understanding, it is concluded that the Prophet Muhammad himself glorified the day of his birth, “he continued.
At the end of his speech he conveyed a message to the Al-Hijrah community, “Thus we must be happy with his presence among them at this time by holding memorials of the Prophet’s Birthday and reading the biography of the Prophet.”
Mr. Drs. Rossalis Rusman Adenan, MBA in his speech appealed to Al-Hijrah community that attended the event to always strengthen unity of society and community, respect for the rules and regulations that apply in Indonesia and Sudan, protect themselves from things that could endanger safety, and maintain Indonesia’s reputation in the eyes of both the government and the people of Sudan.
The evening program was ended with a prayer led by K.H. Muhammad Akhyaruddin.B.Sh as the Supreme Council of PCINU Sudan and continued with Maghrib prayer in congregation. (Adzkar)
